Our recruiting team is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, planning, research, and client service. This role will manage complex engagements, review tax work, and provide guidance to clients and junior team members. Key Responsibilities • Lead tax engagements involving businesses, partnerships, trusts, and individuals. • Review tax returns, workpapers, and supporting documentation. • Conduct tax research and develop planning strategies. • Supervise, mentor, and develop tax professionals. • Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and leadership. • Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and profitability. • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and support business development. • Lead client meetings and presentations. • Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and professional standards. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Active CPA license required. • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience. • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation. • Experience with tax research and accounting software. • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills. • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities. • Experience managing and developing tax staff. • Strong client relationship and business development skills. • Experience with complex tax planning and technical research. • Ability to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies.
