Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Be able to read, interpret, and modify electrical prints and schematics and document all self-created changes. • General understanding and hands on experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe work environments. • General understanding and hands on experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe work environments. Knowledge of applicable NEC and NFPA codes. • Proficiency in electrical installations with conduit and wiring practices. • Experience using sensing and control devices. Proximity switches through beam sensors, laser distance sensors) • Experience using both DC and AC monitors, VG drives and Servo Controlled Systems. • Support and follow the Lock Out/Tag Out program. • Must fully understand and adhere to the ARC Flash and electrical shock prevention. Education and Experience Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred. • Three-Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course. • Ability to write reports and correspondence. • Ability to speak effectively to associates of the organization. • Experience in the use of care of a variety of tools, equipment, and machines are essential. • Working knowledge of all the construction trades is required, including electrical wiring, electronic controls, troubleshooting of PLC’s, machining, plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
