Our client is seeking a Wastewater Engineer to lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role combines technical design, project leadership, client engagement, and mentorship responsibilities. Work Model: • On-Site What You Will Do: • Lead planning, evaluation, and design of water and wastewater systems (pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities) • Develop master plans, technical reports, specifications, and construction drawings • Advance projects from concept through bid-ready documentation • Coordinate and facilitate internal and client-facing project meetings and workshops • Oversee permitting efforts and maintain communication with regulatory agencies • Support construction-phase services, including review and coordination • Define project scope, schedule, and budgets in partnership with project management • Build and maintain client relationships; contribute to business development efforts • Mentor junior engineers and support cross-functional collaboration • Ensure quality, accuracy, and clarity in technical documentation What You Will Need to Be Successful: • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year of project leadership • Experience preparing detailed plans and specifications for water and wastewater systems • Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary infrastructure project delivery • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Proficiency in technical writing, organization, and time management • Ability and interest in mentoring junior staff and continuing professional development Benefits Overview: • Health, dental, and vision insurance • 401k • PTO • Paid holidays • Parental leave • FSA • Other voluntary options Interested and qualified candidates can contact Jordan Dougherty at (515) 225-7000 or email [email protected].
