Opportunity: Physician – Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology Job Details: • Permanent placement opportunity providing comprehensive gastroenterology services with approximately 16 patient encounters per shift • Fellowship in Gastroenterology is required • Board certification required, or board eligible within 3 years of residency completion • Active California medical license required; will consider providers willing to obtain CA licensure • Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeding sites • Conduct procedures with PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) tube placement • Perform lower GI endoscopy including flexible sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy, and polypectomy • Interpret esophageal manometry and perform small bowel biopsies • ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), esophageal dilatation, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and liver biopsy preferred • Experience with insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube preferred • ACLS and BLS certifications required • Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days Compensation: Employed salary with benefits.
