Opportunity: MD, DO – Hospitalist Job Details: • Seeking a board-certified FM/IM Hospitalist to provide locums coverage for night shifts (7p-7a) • Coverage dates needed: December 25-29 • New providers must arrive the day before their scheduled start date for orientation • Inpatient only setting with a team of 11 physicians • Average of 15 patients per day per provider • Average of 2-3 admissions per day per provider and 4-8 admissions per night • Night shift physician covers all night call and/or admissions from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. • Day shift physicians rotate admissions among themselves in morning and afternoon blocks • Responsible for ICU/Critical Care duties • Critical care physician assists with ICU patients during morning hours; Tele ICU Service available in the afternoon and weekends • Tele Neurology service available to assist with neurology cases including stroke and brain bleeds • Traditional and interdisciplinary rounding, consults, admissions, and management of vent patients in ICU preferred; procedures are optional • Specialty support available locally including cardiology, orthopedics, nephrology, general surgery, urology, infectious disease, and psychiatry • EHR system is EPIC • ACLS certification required (American Heart Association) Compensation: Employed salary with benefits.
