Pediatric Hospitalist in Iowa 25 minutes from the University of Iowa 4 hours from Chicago 5 hours from Minneapolis, Kansas City and St. Louis • Join an established Pediatric Hospitalist team of 4 physicians • Additional onsite specialist support: Experienced Neonatologists team that will take the ill babies into their care. • Schedule is average of 14 * 12 hour shifts per month; Average of 8-10 hours onsite and with home call; • Weekends and Holidays on rotation • Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Details: • Rotating with other Pediatric Hospitalist inpatient pediatric care and Newborn Nursery • No attendance to deliveries • Average of 15-20 patients per day in the nursery • Average of 6-8 pediatric inpatients per day • Rounding Newborn Nursery: Admissions and Discharges and Circumcisions • Pediatric Hospitalist: Admissions and Discharges, rounding • Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care • Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent work/life balance with flexible scheduling Fellowship: Skill:
