Endoscopy clinic hiring for patient access representative Schedule: M-F either 8-4:30 or 8:30-5 Type: contract to potential hire Responsibilities: • Responsible for check in, check out, and phone reception duties and serves as the first point of contact for patient appointments. • Customer Service • Maintain a professional, courteous and positive manner during all interactions • Verify insurance eligibility • Collect copayments and outstanding patient balances • Schedule follow up appointments • Secure prior authorizations, referrals, and appointments for specialty care and testing • Reconcile daily batch and global processing • Answer phones and assist patients or route calls to appropriate department • Answer high volume of calls, accurately taking telephone messages and routing appropriately. • Entering prescription refills Teamwork • Work collaboratively with co-workers • Participate in achieving common goals • Share knowledge and expertise willingly • Offer/lend assistance as needed. Communication • Convey information clearly in writing and verbally Requirements/Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED • Minimum 1 year of applicable work experience • Epic preferred
