The Controller is a fully remote position. Responsibilities: • Oversee general ledger maintenance and accounting operations across multiple subsidiaries. • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and consolidated management reports. • Maintain strong AP/AR processes; ensure AR aging stays at 93%+ under 60 days. • Complete monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations. • Oversee treasury function including daily monitoring of cash and cash forecasting. • Lead accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements. • Manage commission processing for commissionable agents. • Oversee 6+ senior accountants and an accounting manager working on various bands and provide financial oversight, guidance, and review of their work whilst developing their skill sets to support their future growth. • Lead the annual financial statement audit along with insurance audits as needed. • Prepare monthly operating reviews (MOR) for various brands. • Create the monthly financial reporting package (FRP) and enhance the reporting allowing for automation. Financial Planning, Analysis & Performance • Assist the senior accountants with budgeting, forecasting, and platform-wide financial planning. • Analyze KPIs, margin drivers, job costing, backlog, cash flow, and operational performance. • Translate financial performance into clear, actionable insights for non-financial leaders. • Support the creation of dashboards, reporting packages, and analytical tools. Qualifications: • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; 2+ years in a supervisory/management role required. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance • Construction industry experience a must • Experience with multi-entity environments is a must • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and job costing. • Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks is a must and Advanced Excel. #zip
