Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and established hospital policies and procedures. This role involves employing critical thinking skills, assessing patients’ conditions, recognizing changes, planning and evaluating care, monitoring patients’ progress, and recording pertinent observations. The Registered Nurse will also delegate appropriate patient care tasks to other staff members and function collaboratively as a team member to achieve unit goals.
