Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive patient care across multiple units, including Cardiac Telemetry, Med/Surg Telemetry, and Surgical Telemetry. The ideal candidate will be skilled in nursing practices with an emphasis on cardiac and stroke care. Responsibilities • Assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the direction of licensed physicians. • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to deliver individualized care. • Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures. • Utilize knowledge of principles, theories, current methods, and techniques of nursing practice. • Manage care for patients requiring cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, and Diltiazem. Qualifications • Two years of nursing experience required. • Previous travel nursing experience is required. • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License required. • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required. • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Experience in clinical specialty preferred. Unit Information The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 4-5 patients per nurse. The unit sizes are as follows: • 5S – 29 beds • 4S – 32 beds • 3S – 34 beds • 3F – 19 beds Additional Requirements • Float to other units as needed. • Weekend duty required every other weekend. • Holiday duty as applicable.
