Unit Information • Number of Beds: 24 total beds • Patient Ratios: Maximum 5:1 • Staffing Composition: • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, 2 Patient Care Technicians • Type of Equipment: Standard medical equipment • EHR System: Meditech Expanse • Patient Population: Medical trauma patients Responsibilities • Administer medications and provide care to patients in a progressive care unit. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and reassessments of patients. • Maintain open communication with the multidisciplinary care team. • Document all patient information accurately in Meditech Expanse. • Provide care for patients post-heart catheterization. • Perform procedures such as thoracentesis and chest tube management. Qualifications • Required Experience: Minimum 1 year of IMU/PCU experience • Required Certifications: • Active RN License • BLS Certification • ACLS Certification • Preferred Qualifications: • Charge Nurse experience • Previous experience with Meditech Expanse Personal Attributes The ideal candidate will possess a friendly, positive, and team-oriented demeanor, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
