Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Shift Information Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM Minimum Years of Experience 3 years Certifications/Requirements • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) • Basic Life Support (BLS) / Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the patient care team responsible for delivering both direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across various areas of the unit. The Emergency Department provides a comprehensive range of emergency medical services, including a dedicated Chest Pain Center. Responsibilities include assessing patients during admission and throughout their stay, administering intravenous medications and therapies, providing patient education, and documenting nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses. Experience Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required. • At least 1 year of previous critical care nursing experience is required. Additional Requirements Candidates must be willing to assume charge nurse and preceptor roles when necessary. Previous employees of the organization are not eligible for this position. Additionally, travelers with any infractions on their license or background will not be considered.
