Registered Nurse (RN) Overview We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic Emergency Department setting. Clinical Information • Emergency Department: Level III Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center • Number of Beds: 54 • Average Patients per Day: 75+ • Nurse-Patient Ratios: 1:4 • Fast Track: Yes • Triage Area: Yes, with participation expected from all staff • Holding Area: Separate holding area available • Psych & Seclusion Rooms: Yes • Security: In-house and available 24/7 Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department. • Administer medications and manage patient drips, including cardiac, antihypertensive, and sedation medications. • Collaborate effectively with physicians and mid-level providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Participate in departmental activities and adhere to all clinical protocols. • Assist with the triage process and urgent patient assessments. Qualifications • Current and valid Registered Nurse license. • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS. • Strong clinical skills and proficient in managing various acute medical conditions. • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Shifts & Scheduling • Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available. • Weekend and holiday requirements align with departmental needs. • Floating requirements will be determined by departmental needs. Dress Code The standard scrub color for this department is navy blue. Orientation Comprehensive unit-specific orientation will be provided during the first week of employment.
