Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Unit Information Location: San Antonio, TX • Number of Beds: 44 • Number of Staff: 14 per shift • Staff Composition: • Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 4 LVNs, 4 PCTs, and 1 Unit Clerk • Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 4 LVNs, 4 PCTs, and 1 Unit Clerk • Patient Ratios: 1:5-6 • Type of Equipment: Telemetry, Vital Signs Monitors, Glucometers, Scales, etc. (Basic for a MedSurg floor) • EMR System: Meditech Position Overview This position is focused on providing safe and effective nursing care to patients in a MedSurg setting. Required Qualifications • Must possess LVN licensure. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in inpatient hospital nursing. • Telemetry capable.
