Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Key Details • Location: Great Bend, KS • Contract Length: 13 weeks • Orientation Schedule: Virtual orientation on Monday followed by unit training for the remainder of the week. • Shift: 12-hour nights from 1900 to 0700 • Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month • Holiday Requirement: Required as needed in rotation • Floating Requirement: May float within scope of practice Responsibilities The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for delivering patient care, administering medications, and ensuring effective communication with healthcare team members. Experience with medication administration, particularly with gtts such as Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem is preferred. Qualifications • 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting • Current RN license in Kansas or compact state • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications • New graduates are not accepted for this position Other Requirements • Candidate must be nicotine free • Local candidates are welcomed, with an expectation to convert to permanent employment after the initial contract period • Client permits up to 2 cancellations per month with a minimum of 2 hours notice Application Information Candidates are encouraged to submit their credentials by the Monday prior to the start date.
