Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities. Shift & Scheduling • Shift Type: Nights • Shift Length: 12 hours • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6 week period • Holiday Requirements: Must be available to work Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day Unit Information • Unit Type: Emergency Room (ER) • Average Patients Treated Daily: 25 • Nurse:Patient Ratio: 1:4 • Bed Capacity: 12 • Psych/Seclusion Rooms: Yes (1 room) • Security: Not in-house 24/7 Required Qualifications • Years of Experience: 2 years • Certifications: • ACLS (AHA) • BLS (AHA) • PALS • ENPC • TNCC • NIHSS • Ability to be self-directed and manage patients independently Clinical Responsibilities • Triage patients in the ER • Perform Point of Care Lab functions • Manage common diagnoses including chest pain, respiratory issues, dehydration, orthopedic conditions, potential stroke, lacerations, gastrointestinal issues, etc. • Administer and manage various drips and utilize RT equipment such as vents and CPAP • Draw labs as required Additional Information • Unit Specific Orientation: 2 shifts • Floating Requirements: May float to sister facilities as needed • Dress Code: Navy scrubs This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality emergency care.
