CT Technologist Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team for weekend shifts. This role is essential for delivering high-quality imaging services in a busy environment. Unit Information • Adult hospital with 64 beds and a 12-bed adult ICU • Emergency department with 14 beds • Imaging department staffed on weekends includes 1 MRI tech, 1 X-ray tech, 1 ultrasound tech (Saturday only), and 1 CT tech • Weekend CT shifts from 11 AM to 11 PM Patient Population The majority of patients will be adults from the emergency department, with some pediatric scans possible. Adult inpatients will also require imaging as ordered. Equipment and Technology • CT Scanner: Siemens Somatom Plus 128 slice CT • EMR: Meditech • PACS: FUJI Synapse Qualifications • Required: • Minimum of 6 months of experience as a CT Tech • CT registration with ARRT • KSBHA license • Preferred: • Experience with Siemens scanners • 2-3+ years of CT experience • Able to back up X-ray when needed • Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively Typical Procedures • CT scans for head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, and pelvis • CTA scans for chest, neck, and abdomen • Occasional CTA cardiac studies • CT lumbar and thoracic spine imaging • CT head stroke protocol Personality Fit The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment that can vary in pace based on emergency department patient loads.
