Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in a Med-Surg environment to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care for patients in a dynamic medical-surgical setting. Unit Specifics • Number of Beds: 27 on each floor • Patient Ratios: 5:1 • Unit Staffing: Unit secretaries available during dayshift and technicians on all shifts • Type of Equipment: Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, Welch Allen vital sign machines • Documentation System: Meditech Expanse Scheduling Requirements Three days a week with every other weekend required. Nurses may be required to float between the designated medical-surgical units. Patient Experience Requirements Patient interaction and care are prioritized; applicants should be prepared to maintain high standards of patient experience. Required Qualifications • Must Have: Basic Med/Surg experience, particularly with post-operative orthopedic patients • Advanced Skills Needed: Not applicable • Certifications Required: BLS; ACLS preferred but not required Unit Procedures • Blood transfusions • IV and central line maintenance Dress Code Required uniform: Dark blue attire Additional Information Consider this opportunity to work in a supportive environment with advanced equipment and technology.
