Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU Unit Information The Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit is equipped with 84 beds and supported by a dedicated team of 160 staff members, including Charge CNC Nurses, RNs, Unit Secretaries, and RRTs. Patient care ratios are typically 2:1 for NICU and 3:1 for NSCU. General Information • Location: Wichita, KS • Floors: 2 & 3 • Type of Equipment: Medela, Alaris, Ohmeda, Drager, ECG: Philips, GE • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Neonatal Notes Manager / Meditech Qualifications Minimum Requirements: • At least 1 year of recent acute care NICU experience • Current BLS and NRP certifications • Active nursing license in Kansas Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in a Level IV NICU • Familiarity with Meditech systems • Prior experience in large teaching facilities Typical Procedures • IV placement and management • Whole Body Cooling • Surgical cases (e.g., NEC, PDA, CVC) • PDA ligations • High-Frequency Ventilation • Chest Tube insertion and management Best Personality Fit The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with exceptional communication skills.
