Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room Unit Information The Emergency Room unit provides critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficient and effective medical responses. • Number of Beds: 22 (with vertical space for additional patients) • Staffing: Approximately 50 staff members • Patient Ratios: 1:4 • Type of Equipment: Phillips & GE Monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser • EMR: Meditech (EDM) Typical Hiring Profile We are seeking candidates with the following skills and qualifications: • Required Skills: • Strong IV skills for both adult and pediatric patients • Excellent communication abilities • Preferred Skills: • Experience with trauma care • Certification in TNCC • Proficiency in Meditech Typical Procedures Performed The following procedures are frequently conducted in the unit: • Cardioversion • Central line placements • Management of cardiac arrests • IV insertions and EKGs • Pacemaker interrogation • Code Stroke protocol • Code Sepsis protocol • Suture and abscess setup Best Personality Fit The ideal candidate will possess the following traits: • A team player attitude • Energetic and professional demeanor • Respectful interaction with patients and team members • Accountability for self and others • Patient-centered focus • Excellent attendance record • Ability to adapt quickly to change Required Certifications • BLS • ACLS • PALS • CPI Floating Areas There may be opportunities to float to nearby facilities, located approximately 15 minutes away. Dress Code The required attire includes a teal top and black or teal pants. Work Schedule Participation in weekend shifts is required, with every other weekend plus at least one Friday and one Monday in a four-week schedule. There is no on-call requirement. Experience Requirements A minimum of 2 years of experience is required for this position.
