Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) General Information Join a dynamic team in the Emergency Room, where you will play a crucial role in delivering patient care in a fast-paced environment. Unit Overview • Number of Beds: 22 (additional vertical space for extra patients) • Staffing: Approximately 50 staff members • Patient Ratios: 1:4 • Type of Equipment: Phillips & GE Monitors, Level 1 Rapid Infuser • Electronic Medical Records: Meditech (EDM) Shift Details • Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM • Frequency: Every other weekend, at least one Friday and one Monday over a four-week schedule Key Responsibilities • Perform cardioversion and central line placements • Manage cardiac arrests and IV insertions • Conduct EKGs, pacemaker interrogations, and follow protocols for Code Stroke and Code Sepsis • Prepare suture and abscess setups Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant emergency care setting Required Certifications: • BLS • ACLS • PALS • CPI Skills: • Must Have: Strong IV skills in both adults and pediatrics, excellent communication skills • Preferred: Experience with trauma care, TNCC certification, and familiarity with Meditech Ideal Candidate Profile • A team player who is energetic and professional • Respectful towards patients and the caregiving team • Accountable and committed to patient-centered care • Exhibits excellent attendance and has the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances Dress Code Teal tops with black or teal bottoms are required attire.
