Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team on the Medical-Surgical unit. This position provides quality patient care within a collaborative environment focusing on improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall patient experience. Unit Information • Number of Beds: 36 • Patient Ratios: 1:4 / 1:5 • Unit Staffing: Secretary on duty every day, PRN techs available • Equipment: PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn Vital Sign Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, Alaris IV Pumps • Documentation System: Meditech • Scheduling Requirements: Must work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block • Floating Policy: May float over core staff as needed • Patient Experience Focus: Bedside shift report, safety checks every 1-2 hours, emphasis on communication and responsiveness • Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Responsibilities The RN will perform a range of essential duties, including but not limited to: • Conducting basic patient assessments and administering general patient care • Managing wounds, tracheostomies, ostomies, drains, and chest tubes • Providing care for patients with complex conditions, including strokes and seizures • Overseeing the administration of dialysis, PCA pumps, and Heparin drips as needed • Assisting with post-operative procedures including amputations, ostomy placements, and wound vacuums Dress Code Professional attire is expected, with scrubs permitted in navy, blue, white, black, gray, or ceil blue.
