Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU Unit Information Join a dynamic team within a high-acuity Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) that offers a variety of surgical recovery services. Location Englewood, CO General Information • Beds: 59 bays (Main PACU: 27 bays, Surgical Robotics: 12 bays, Orthopedic Surgery Center: 20 bays) • Staff: Approximately 70 total, including Pre-Admit Clinic • Staff Types: Registered Nurses (RNs) and Patient Care Technicians • Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 2 patients; same-day surgery patients may have up to 3 patients at a time • Equipment: GE Monitors • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech Qualifications • Required Skills: • Critical Care experience and/or PACU experience • PALS, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification • Preferred Skills: • Experience in stroke care Typical Procedures The PACU is responsible for pre-operative and post-anesthesia care, handling a diverse range of cases including: • High volumes of neuro and stroke patients • Interventional radiology and TAVR procedures • Spine, general, GI, colorectal, total joint, GYN, and robotic surgeries Personality Fit The ideal candidate is: • Flexible • Outgoing Work Environment Employee satisfaction stands at an impressive 91%, reflecting a supportive and collaborative work culture.
