Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview This position offers guaranteed hours with a preferred schedule starting on December 14th. Unit Information • Location: Independence, MO • Unit: 6th Floor Med-Surg/Oncology • Number of Beds: 36 • Patient Ratios: 1:6 • Staffing Description: Utilize Clinical Care Coordinators, RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries • Type of Equipment: I-med, I-mobile, Neurons (vitals machine), Glucometer, PCA, Wound vac, Chest Tubes, Surgical Drains • Documentation System: Meditech • Scheduling Requirements: Requires working every other weekend Patient Type • Med-Surg, Oncology, Hospice patients • Also accepts hemodynamically stable patients requiring cardiac monitoring with no interventions Qualifications Requested Skill Set: • Team-oriented • Positive attitude • Ability to stay busy • Patient-centered approach Certifications Required: • BLS Typical Procedures Performed on Unit • Wound Vac changes • Drain removal • IV/PICC line management • Foley insertion/removal • NG insertion/removal Floating Areas Med-Surg and Telemetry (Med-Surg level patients) Dress Code Nurses: Pewter (gray) | PCT: Caribbean Blue Weekends No on-call required.
