Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information Location: Wichita, KS Unit: Pediatric ICU (PICU) • Level II Trauma Unit • Number of Beds: 15 • Staffing: 38 personnel including Intensivists, RNs, Desk Techs, Respiratory Therapists, Dietary, and Case Management • Patient Ratios: 2:1 • Equipment: General CR Monitoring • Electronic Medical Record: Meditech / CPN General Information Required Qualifications: • Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital PICU RN experience • BLS & PALS certification Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with CRRT • APHON certification • Experience in a Pediatric Teaching Hospital Typical Procedures Performed: • IV starts and blood draws • Temporary Pleural Tube (TPT) placements Personality Fit • Ability to work well under pressure • Experience in a teaching hospital preferred • Patient care experience is a priority Additional Information This unit offers the opportunity to work with advanced medical technology and a highly experienced team of healthcare professionals.
