Unit Information • Scrub Color: Navy blue or white • Number of Beds: 9 • Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 1-2 patients in PICU; 1 RN to 2-3 patients in Stepdown • Unit Staffing: Health Unit Coordinator available 9 AM – 9 PM; Technicians shared with PICU • Type of Equipment: Alaris pumps • Documentation System: Cerner • Floating Policy: May float to Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units Qualifications • Minimum of 1 year of PICU experience required • Current PALS certification • Advanced skills in IV starts, catheter procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management Scheduling Requirements Candidates must be available to work 3 weekends within a 6-week scheduling period.
