Echo Technologist Unit Information Unit Type: EKG/Cardio Pulmonary Location: Lone Tree, CO Building: Main Hospital General Information Unit Overview: • Number of Beds: 272 • Number of Staff: 4 • Staff Type: Cardiac Sonographers • Day Shift: 4 – 10 hour shifts • Night Shift: Rotating on-call • Patient Ratios: 1:1 • Type of Equipment: GE E95 (4), Philips Epiq (1) • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech and CCW Qualifications Required Skills: • Minimum of 6 months experience in an acute care setting as an Echo Technologist • BLS & RCS certification • Pediatric experience Preferred Skills: • ARDMS certification • Prior Meditech experience Typical Procedures Procedures performed on the unit include: • Adult Echocardiograms (portable inpatients and outpatients) • Transesophageal Echocardiograms • Bubble studies • Definity contrast studies • Structured reporting for all procedures Personality Fit The ideal candidate should: • Be flexible and adaptable • Exhibit a strong team player mentality • Maintain a patient-focused approach • Communicate effectively with staff and healthcare providers Unit Policies • Black or hospital-provided scrubs are required • On-call requirements include 2 nights of call per week, including rotating weekends Additional Information Considerations to entice applicants may include: • Access to new equipment and technology • The tenure and experience of staff • Various scheduling options available
