Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother Baby/Nursery Unit Information This unit specializes in delivering comprehensive care for mothers and their newborns within a maternity care setting. • Number of Beds: 9 Labor & Delivery; 8 Postpartum/GYN; 2 OR suites; 23 well-baby nursery • Number of Staff: 50+ • Patient Ratios: 3 couplets to 1 nurse; 1:1 for active labor/Pitocin/epidural in Labor & Delivery • Type of Equipment: Corometrics • EMR System: Centricity Perinatal & Meditech Job Details This position involves providing care in the following areas: • Labor & Delivery • Cesarean sections • Postpartum care and newborn care • OBED triage and inductions Qualifications Must Have: • OB experience • BLS, ACLS, NRP & AWHONN certifications Preferred or Nice to Have: • Experience as a circulator, 1st assist, or scrub for cesarean sections Best Personality Fit The ideal candidate will be energetic and self-directed, with a compassionate approach to care. Work Schedule • 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule: Saturdays/Sundays for days and Fridays/Saturdays for nights. • No mandatory on-call requirement for travel staff, but opportunities for extra shifts may be available. Floating Areas Floating is limited to within the unit; there will be no assignments outside of the designated area. Dress Code Scrubs will be provided for all staff working within the unit.
