Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Position Description We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. This role encompasses various critical responsibilities essential for delivering quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Unit Information • Location: Houston, TX • Number of Beds: 50 • Trauma Designation: Level II, Comprehensive Stroke Center (survey pending), Chest Pain Center • Patient Ratios: 4:1 Staff Structure • Day Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 10 RNs, 1 LVN, 2 Paramedics, 2 Patient Care Technicians (PCT), 4 Behavioral Health Technicians (BHT) • Night Shift: 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), 10 RNs, 1 LVN, 2 Paramedics, 2 PCT, 4 BHT Typical Procedures The following procedures are routinely performed in this unit: • Trauma care • Emergency department procedures Qualifications Required Skills: • BLS (Basic Life Support) • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Preferred Skills: • Trauma experience • Experience with Meditech EMR Personality Fit The ideal candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, capable of thriving in a collaborative environment.
