Education and Qualifications • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. • Minimum of 3-4 years of nursing experience with at least one year in labor and delivery. • Experience in nursery care and postpartum settings is appreciated. • Basic computer skills are required. Licenses and Certifications • Current Registered Nurse license in the State of California. • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification within six months of employment; must be recertified every two years. • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred; must obtain within six months of employment. • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of employment; recertification every two years. • Conscious sedation certification required for Registered Nurses in specific units within six months of employment; recertification every two years.
