Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the health and comfort of mothers and newborns throughout the birthing process. Unit Information • Unit Type: Family Birthing Center (Labor and Delivery) • Bed Capacity: 19 Postpartum, 12 Labor & Delivery, 2 Operating Rooms, 1 PACU • Patient Ratios: 1:4 for postpartum, 1:1 for labor and delivery • Common Diagnoses: Low and high-risk deliveries; has a Level III NICU available for specialized care • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner and Fetal Link for monitoring Shift Details • Shift Pattern: 12-hour night shifts • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week • Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule • Shift Times: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery • Required Certifications: • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) • Advanced Fetal Monitoring • Basic Life Support (BLS) • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) • COVID Vaccine (Certification required) Floating and Orientation Floating to pediatrics may be required, focusing primarily on couplets. Orientation includes 2 to 3 shifts based on experience with circulating. Staff is available to assist with circulating duties as needed.
