Registered Nurse (RN) Location Nashville, TN General Information • Unit Name: 6th, Post-Op Med/Surg • Number of Beds: 34 • Patient Ratios: 6:1 • Type of Equipment: IV Pumps, Telemetry, SCDs, Continuous Pulse Oximeters, Feeding Pumps, PCA, EKG Machines, Bladder Scanners, iMobile Communication Technology • Documentation System: Meditech • Scheduling Requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week; 2 weekends (4 shifts) in a 4-week schedule • Floating Policy: Contract labor is the first to float; rotation applies when multiple contract labor staff are scheduled • Patient Experience Expectations: Provide attentive and compassionate care; engage patients and families in care plans through bedside shift reports and personalized interactions. • Certifications: Comprehensive Stroke Center, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, Certified Chest Pain Center Hiring Profile • Requested Skill Set: • Med/Surg Experience • Ability to prioritize care and multitask • Start IVs • Basic wound care • Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes • Required Qualifications: • Active RN license • BLS certification Dress Code Required uniform: Navy scrubs, tops, and bottoms Additional Information • Please attach unit-specific policies and guidelines. • Consider items such as new equipment or technology, staff tenure and experience, and schedule options to entice prospective candidates.
