Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information Location: Riverside Community Hospital City/State: Riverside, CA This unit specializes in Labor and Delivery with the following details: • Number of Labor Beds: 11 • Number of OB Evaluation Beds: 4 • Number of OB Post Anesthesia Care Unit Beds: 2 • Operating Rooms: 2 • Staffing: > 79 (including Charge RNs and OB Techs) • Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 2 patients, and 1 RN to 1 patient depending on circumstances • Type of Equipment: GE fetal monitoring • Electronic Medical Records: CPN, Meditech Position Overview The Labor and Delivery unit is looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment. This role involves a commitment to exceptional patient care during labor and delivery processes. Qualifications and Skills Required Skills: • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification • Experience with Couplet Care when floated to postpartum Preferred Skills: • At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience • Transition Nurse/Baby Catching experience Typical Procedures Registered Nurses in this unit will perform the following: • Non-Stress Tests (NST) • Cervical exams • Labor management and medication titration • McRoberts maneuver Work Environment The ideal candidate will be one who thrives in an environment characterized by organized chaos and manages multiple patients effectively.
