CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room while ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Position Details • Unit Type: Cardio OR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) • Shift Length: 12 hours • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week • Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years • Orientation: 1 week Shift Schedule • Standard Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM • Call Requirements: One weekday per week; one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) in rotation with staff • Response Time for Call: 30 minutes Key Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the CVOR, focusing on open heart surgeries and endovascular procedures. • Scrub into surgical procedures to assist in holding the heart and closing the chest as needed. • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure quality care and patient safety. • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. • Participate in unit orientation and ongoing educational activities. Qualifications • Required Certifications: BLS (AHA); ACLS preferred • Experience: Open heart and/or endovascular experience is essential. • Floating Requirements: May require floating to General OR on an as-needed basis. Unit Information • Number of Suites: 16 (3 CVOR) • Average Number of Cases per Day: 30 (includes 1-2 heart surgeries daily) • Scrub Color: Light blue scrubs provided by the hospital Location This position is located in a city within the region that offers a supportive and collaborative work environment for healthcare professionals.
