Unit Information • Location: Asheville, NC • Number of Beds: 854 • Staff Size: 120 • Patient Ratios: 10 – 25 • Type of Equipment: • GE R860 Adult ventilators • Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators • Newport HT70 transport ventilators • V60 non-invasive device • Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Cerner Key Responsibilities • Provide respiratory care per physician orders and established protocols. • Administer various respiratory therapies and treatments. • Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Qualifications • Required: • North Carolina Respiratory License • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications • Preferred: • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification Work Schedule • Varied weekends (at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule). • Floating to all critical care units and floors as needed.
