Speech Language Pathologist Location Fairbanks, AK Position Overview This full-time position involves evaluating patients’ functional abilities and limitations to determine appropriate interventions and develop individualized treatment plans. The role requires collaboration with physicians and other referral sources to implement tailored care strategies that address the diverse needs of patients. Key Responsibilities • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their communication and swallowing abilities. • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans supported by evidence-based practices. • Re-evaluate treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Educate patients, families, and other care providers to foster patient engagement in therapeutic goals. • Create individualized home programs with clear instructions for patients and caregivers. • Document patient progress according to professional and regulatory standards. • Provide training and support to colleagues and students as needed. Qualifications • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university. • Current licensure in the state of practice. • Certificate of Clinical Competence or acceptance into Clinical Fellowship Year. • BLS certification is required. Work Schedule This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, with the flexibility to accommodate 4×10 hour shifts or 5×8 hour shifts as needed. Weekend, holiday, and floating requirements may apply as necessary.
