Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information Join a dedicated team in the Pediatric Emergency Department, where we focus on delivering high-quality care to our young patients. Our unit includes: • Number of Beds: 23 • Number of Staff: 45 • Patient Ratios: 4:1 (5:1 during surge) • Equipment: GE monitors • EMR: Meditech Qualifications We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria: • Must Have: • Minimum 1-year current Pediatric Emergency Department RN experience • BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC & ENPC certifications (PALS can substitute for ENPC) • Preferred: • CEN certification • CPEN certification • US IV competency Typical Procedures The following typical procedures are performed in the unit: • Port access • IV start • Venipuncture • Nasal wash • Point of care testing (glucometer) • EKG • Foley placement Personality Fit The ideal candidate will possess the following traits: • Caring and competent • Excellent communication skills • A willingness to go above and beyond for our patients Additional Information Our team prides itself on fostering a tight-knit environment that welcomes hard-working nurses who enjoy their work.
