Pediatric Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information Join a dedicated team in the Pediatric Emergency Department, which includes: • Number of Beds: 23 • Number of Staff: 45 • Staff Composition: • Day Shift: 4 Day RNs, 1 Charge RN, 5 Mid-Shift RNs, 1 Mid-Shift Unit Clerk, 1 EMT • Night Shift: 4 Night RNs, 1 Night EMT, 1 Night Charge RN • Patient Ratios: 4:1 (5:1 during surge) • Type of Equipment: GE Monitors • EMR: Meditech Qualifications We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications: • Required Skills: • A minimum of 1 year of current Pediatric Emergency Department RN experience • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC) • Preferred Skills: • CEN Certification • CPEN Certification • US IV Competency Typical Procedures In the Pediatric Emergency Department, you will perform the following procedures: • Port access • IV start and venipuncture • Nasal wash • Point of care testing (glucometer) • EKG • Foley placement Personality Fit The ideal candidate should possess the following traits: • Caring and competent • Excellent communication skills • Willingness to go above and beyond Additional Information This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with a tight-knit staff that values hard work and enjoyment in the workplace.
