ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information Location: Denver, CO Unit: Bone Marrow Transplant ICU General Information Unit Overview: • Number of Beds: 37 • Number of Staff: 60 nurses; 5 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) Staffing Structure: • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 10-12 nurses, 3 PCTs • Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 10-12 nurses Patient Ratios: 1:2 Equipment Used: Baxter Pumps Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech Typical Hiring Profile Required Qualifications: • At least 1 year of current BMT ICU experience • Current BLS and ACLS certifications • NIH Stroke Certificate Preferred Qualifications: • Chemotherapy Certification • BMTCN and/or OCN certification Typical Procedures Performed • Administration and monitoring of high-risk infusions • Neutropenic Fever protocols (blood culture draws, IV medications) Team Culture We pride ourselves on fostering a strong culture of teamwork, positivity, and a shared passion for supporting patients in their fight against cancer.
