Registered Nurse – Mother Baby Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mother Baby unit. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to mothers and their newborns during the postpartum period. Responsibilities • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and infants in the Mother Baby unit. • Monitor the health and recovery of mothers and their newborns, providing education and support. • Assist in assessments, planning, and implementing nursing care plans. • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes for patients. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Mother Baby specialty. • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred. Schedule This position will involve a variable schedule, including night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Candidates must be available to work during holidays. Holiday Expectations • MUST work 2 major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day. • MUST also work 1 minor holiday: the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.
