ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced assessment and critical thinking skills, with experience in managing vasoactive drips and performing essential procedures. Unit Specifics • Number of Beds: 36 • Patient Ratios: 1:3 AM, 1:4 PM, and 1:5 PM (with patient care techs) • Documentation System: Meditech • Type of Equipment: BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo Feeding Pumps Staffing and Scheduling Requirements • Full-time staff: 36 hours/week with every third weekend rotation • Part-time staff: 48 hours/week with every third weekend rotation • PRN Staff 1: 3 shifts in a 4-week period with 1 weekend shift requirement • PRN Staff 2: 6 shifts in a 4-week period with 3 weekend shift requirements • Rotating holiday schedule Floating Policy • PRN staff float one time per week. • Full-time and part-time staff float based on a rotating schedule. • Bonus shifts float first when available. Patient Experience Requirements • Bedside shift report • Hourly rounding • Daily leadership rounds Qualifications Must Have • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS • Advanced assessment and critical thinking skills • Experience managing vasoactive drips Typical Procedures Performed • Central Line or PICC line placement • Chest tube placements Best Personality Fit We are looking for a candidate with a positive attitude who is eager to work collaboratively as a member of our healthcare team.
