Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Position Overview The Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care through the utilization of the Nursing Process, adhering to state regulations and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure the safe delivery of care to patients. Key Responsibilities • Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. • Demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills in the delivery of care. • Maintain competencies through ongoing education and professional development. • Delegate patient care priorities based on staff qualifications and availability. • Provide supervision and direction to staff assisting in patient care. • Float between various departments and facilities as needed. Work Schedule Night shift position working three 12-hour shifts per week with a requirement to cover six weekend shifts within a six-week scheduling period. Qualifications • Current Arizona Registered Nurse license. • BLS and ACLS certifications. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. • Experience with Cerner electronic medical records is preferred. Patient Care Ratio The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 6:1. Uniform Requirements Scrub color is not specified; any color is acceptable. Location Position requires floating between multiple locations within the region.
