Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Location San Jose, CA Unit Information • Number of Beds: 36 • Number of Staff: 113 • Staff Types: Varied staffing including RNs, CNAs, and sitters • Patient Ratios: 4:1; critical care patients 1:1 or 2:1 • Type of Equipment: Phillips • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech Job Responsibilities The role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a busy emergency department setting. The nurse will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established standards. Qualifications • Required Experience: 3-5 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital • Preferred Experience: Charge nurse experience and prior travel/interim experience in California Typical Procedures • Management of stroke and STEMI cases Certifications • Current certifications in PALS, ACLS, and BLS are required Work Schedule Position requires working every other weekend.
