Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role requires strong clinical expertise and the ability to manage patient care effectively in a fast-paced environment. Unit Information • Number of Beds: 20 • Staffing: 5 RNs & 2 LNAs, adjusted based on patient volume • Patient Ratios: 4:1 • Equipment: GE cardiac monitoring, Hospira IV pumps • EMR: Expanse Qualifications Required: • 2 years of experience in a hospital setting with a focus on PCU • Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills • Experience with critical drips • Active Compact License • BLS and ACLS certifications Preferred: • Experience with pre- and post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker patient care • Prior experience in a health system environment Personality Fit The ideal candidate will be self-directed, confident, and possess a positive attitude, even in challenging situations. Floating Areas • Med Surg • ICU (for border patients) • Emergency Department (for ED holds) Additional Information Shifts will include working every other weekend or as required based on staffing needs.
