Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Information Location: Englewood, CO Floor: 6 Building: Main General Information • Number of Beds: 33 rooms, accommodating up to 49 patients with some semi-private rooms. • Number of Staff: 62 staff members. • Day Shift Staff: 2 charge nurses, 2 technicians, 6-7 registered nurses. • Night Shift Staff: 1 charge nurse, 1.5 technicians, 5-6 registered nurses. • Patient Ratios: 4:1 during the day, 5:1 at night. • Type of Equipment: Telemetry monitoring. • EMR: Meditech. Qualifications Hiring Profile • Required Skills: • Minimum 1 year of current hospital Med/Surg experience. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Preferred Skills: • Experience with spinal cord injury patients. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Typical Procedures • Wound care, including management of surgical flap patients. • Occasional bowel program and light burn care for low acuity burn patients.
