Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Unit Information Join a vibrant Neuro Med Surg unit with the following details: • Number of Beds: 38 • Number of Staff: 55 • Day Shift Staffing: 2 charges (without patients), 4-5:1 RN ratio, 2 PCT • Night Shift Staffing: 1-2 charges (dependent on staffing), 4-5:1 RN ratio, 2 PCT • Patient Ratios: Estimated at 5:1 or 6:1 • Type of Equipment: IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-PAP, C-PAP, glucometer • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech Qualifications We are looking for qualified candidates with the following skills: • Must Have: • Minimum 1 year of current Med/Surg experience • BLS certification • Preferred Skills: • ACLS certification • Neuro experience • Experience with Meditech Typical Procedures The responsibilities within this unit include but are not limited to: • NIH/stroke assessments and neuro assessments • Fall risk assessments • Tracheostomy care • Feeding tube management Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes: • Initiative and proactivity • Strong collaboration skills • Ability to multi-task effectively • Excellent critical thinking skills • Positive, energetic, and flexible demeanor • Engagement with patient experience improvement tactics Additional Information We seek enthusiastic candidates passionate about the neuro patient population, who have a willingness to contribute positively to the team and patient care experiences.
