Estate Planning Attorney / Senior Associate An established Estate Planning Group in Wheaton, Illinois, is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney / Senior Associate with approximately 5–10+ years of estate planning and estate administration experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sophisticated estate planning, estate and trust administration, tax planning, and general business counseling, with high-net-worth client experience strongly preferred. This is a client-facing opportunity requiring strong drafting, analytical, organizational, financial, and relationship-management skills. Key Responsibilities • Advise high-net-worth clients on sophisticated estate planning and wealth transfer strategies. • Develop tax-efficient estate and gift tax planning strategies. • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate planning documents. • Handle estate and trust administration matters from start to finish. • Provide general business advice as part of broader client representation. • Work directly with clients, families, fiduciaries, accountants, and other professional advisors. • Develop and maintain relationships with estate planning referral sources. • Manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities. • Conduct detailed legal and tax analysis and provide practical guidance to clients. Qualifications • J.D. from an accredited law school. • Active Illinois bar admission, or ability to become licensed in Illinois. • 5–10+ years of estate planning and estate administration experience. • Sophisticated estate planning and tax planning experience. • Experience with general business counseling. • Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills. • Strong financial or accounting background preferred. • Significant client and referral-source interaction experience. • Professional, polished, and service-minded approach. Compensation & Benefits • The base salary is $150,000–$170,000+, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
