NetSuite Finance Consultant (Contract) Location: Remote (Preference for PST-based candidates) Travel: Occasional travel to Ventura County, CA, as needed Engagement Type: Contract / Hourly Overview Our client is seeking a hands-on NetSuite Finance Consultant to support accounting operations across a multi-subsidiary environment. This engagement will focus on assisting with month-end close activities, improving financial reporting, and optimizing dashboards within NetSuite. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting knowledge with practical NetSuite expertise and can quickly assess existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements. Responsibilities • Support month-end close activities across three subsidiaries. • Assist with account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and close-related processes. • Evaluate and improve existing month-end workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy. • Review and optimize NetSuite financial reports, saved searches, KPIs, and dashboards. • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce manual workarounds. • Troubleshoot accounting and reporting issues within NetSuite. • Partner with accounting and operational stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and recommend solutions. • Document processes and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements and best practices. • Serve as a trusted advisor to the finance team during post-implementation optimization efforts. Qualifications • 5+ years of accounting, finance, or NetSuite consulting experience. • Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP, preferably within a OneWorld environment. • Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting functions. • Understanding of multi-entity accounting and financial consolidations. • Experience creating and optimizing NetSuite saved searches, reports, KPIs, and dashboards. • Ability to analyze existing processes, identify root causes, and implement practical solutions. • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and interact effectively with both accounting and operational teams. • Prior experience supporting organizations following a NetSuite implementation is highly preferred. Preferred Experience • NetSuite Administrator, SuiteFoundation, or ERP Consultant certification. • Manufacturing, production, distribution, consumer products, or inventory-based business experience. • Experience with financial cleanup, accounting process improvement, and post-go-live stabilization projects. • Experience supporting multi-subsidiary organizations. Additional Information • Preference for candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone. • Occasional travel to Ventura County, California may be required for onsite meetings and business process reviews. • Initial engagement will focus on finance and accounting support, with potential opportunity to assist on larger operational and production-related NetSuite initiatives in the future.
