Job Title: Household Manager & Family Assistant Location: Tampa, FL 33647 Employment Type: Part-Time, 12–15 hours per week (12 hours/week guaranteed) Schedule: 3 days per week (Tuesday–Thursday preferred); 4–5 hour shifts; flexible for occasional evening childcare and overnights Compensation: $30-35/hour, based on experience Start Date: ASAP Requirements • Reliable transportation required • CPR certified or willingness to obtain certification • Maintain a smoke-free environment • Comfortable with pets, including 2 large dogs and 2 cats • Must be authorized to work in the United States About Our Family We're a busy, warm, and active household of 3 with a lot of heart and a lot going on. Both parents travel regularly for work and split time working from home when in town, so our schedule can shift week to week. We have a 3-year-old who keeps life fun and full of energy, two large, affectionate dogs, and two cats who are very much part of the family. Our home has a great indoor-outdoor flow, with a gated pool and a large backyard the dogs love. We have house cleaners every Friday, so we're looking for someone to fill the gaps — the day-to-day rhythm, the childcare backup, and the proactive household support that keeps everything running smoothly when we're heads-down in work or on the road. We're looking for someone who becomes a trusted part of our home, not just someone checking boxes. Trust, warmth, and reliability matter greatly to us. Who You Are / What We're Looking For • Proactive & Self-Motivated: You naturally anticipate household needs, take initiative, and tackle tasks without waiting for direction. You enjoy finding ways to make a family's day-to-day life easier. • Highly Organized & Systems-Minded: You love creating order, maintaining organized spaces, and developing simple, practical systems that keep a busy household running smoothly. • Trustworthy & Dependable: You are reliable, punctual, and consistent. You take pride in being someone a family can count on and feel completely comfortable welcoming into their home. • Warm, Nurturing & Great with Children: You have a natural connection with young children and bring a patient, playful, and caring approach to childcare. You can confidently manage routines, babysitting, and occasional overnight care. • A Genuine Animal Lover: You adore dogs and cats and are comfortable caring for multiple pets, including large, enthusiastic dogs. You happily incorporate pet care into your daily routine. • Flexible & Adaptable: You are comfortable shifting priorities, jumping into new tasks, and adjusting to the changing needs of a busy family. No two days need to look exactly alike! • Calm, Capable & Resourceful: You maintain a cool, collected demeanor, even when things get busy. You're a natural problem-solver who can confidently handle unexpected situations. • Detail-Oriented & Thorough: You notice the little things, from an empty fridge to a laundry basket that needs attention, and take pride in following tasks through to completion. • Professional & Respectful: You bring a friendly, approachable presence while maintaining appropriate boundaries and respecting the family's privacy. You understand how to provide meaningful support while maintaining a light footprint in the home. • A True Household Partner: You genuinely enjoy the variety of household management, from errands and laundry to meal prep, organization, and family support. You find satisfaction in making life easier for others and becoming a trusted, long-term part of a family's routine. Key Responsibilities Family Support • Babysitting and backup childcare for the toddler, including daycare pickup as needed • Occasional evening babysitting for date nights and overnights when parents travel • Engaging toddler in age-appropriate activities • Handling child-related errands • Rotating and organizing toys and clothes; sorting outgrown items and coordinating donations with the family Household Organization & Maintenance • Creating and maintaining household organization systems • Organizing closets, dresser drawers, and storage spaces • Daily resets and light tidying and keeping shared spaces organized • Wiping down countertops and surfaces and vacuuming high-traffic areas as needed • Taking out trash and recycling • Staying aware of household schedules and getting the home tidy and organized before the weekly cleaners arrive • Sweeping the pool deck as needed Laundry • Wash, dry, fold, and put away family laundry • Linen and bedding rotation weekly • Dry cleaning drop-off and pickup and ironing/steaming as needed • Help unpack after family travel and handle post-trip laundry and household resets Kitchen & Meal Support • Prepare healthy meals 1–2 times per week batch-cooking enough to carry the family through most of the week • Organize the fridge and pantry and keep groceries and household staples stocked • Maintain a shared grocery list of staples and manage grocery shopping and Instacart ordering • Load, run, and unload the dishwasher and keep the kitchen tidy Inventory, Errands & Household Administration • Collaboratively manage pantry, refrigerator, and household supply restocking through existing delivery accounts or grocery store trips • Order household supplies and handle returns, post office runs, pharmacy pickups, and other household errands • Meet service providers, repair people, and deliveries as needed • Work through the family's weekly list of additional tasks and adapt to other household needs as they arise Pet Care • Help care for the family's dogs and cats, including feeding and tending to cat litter as needed • Let dogs out to the backyard throughout the day as needed • Monitor pet food and litter supplies, flag low stock, and coordinate replenishment as needed, including existing Chewy auto-ship orders Vehicle Upkeep • Weekly tidying of family vehicles (crumbs, toys, odds and ends) How to Apply Please submit a short intro letter telling us a little about yourself and why this role is a great fit, an updated resume, and 3 professional references with contact information.
