Full description

About Neuron Industries America deserves abundance. Neuron Industries is rebuilding industrial automation from the hardware up. We’re building Cortex AIC, an AI-native industrial controller, and Synapse, the development environment engineers use to program, test, deploy, and debug it. We build the hardware and software together. Our work makes industrial systems easier to develop and dependable on the factory floor. Come help us build the next generation of American manufacturing. About the role You’ll design and debug the boards inside Cortex, working across embedded compute, industrial I/O, and power. You’ll own board-level work from schematic through working prototypes, validation, and manufacturing handoff, with experienced guidance on architecture and critical design decisions. We’re looking for strong fundamentals, practical design judgment, and evidence that you can turn a circuit into working hardware. Professional experience, internships, and substantial personal or university projects can demonstrate that ability. What you’ll build • Design schematics, select components, and develop PCB layouts in Altium Designer. • Bring up prototypes using test code and bench measurements to isolate failures. • Integrate power, digital and analog interfaces, and communications alongside firmware and software engineers. • Test functionality, electrical margins, and failure modes in industrial environments. • Prepare clear schematics, BOMs, test results, and release documentation for manufacturing. • Improve designs using design reviews, prototype results, and production feedback. What you’ve already proven • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline. • You’ve personally designed and debugged working boards and can explain your circuit choices and a failure you resolved. • Strong analog and digital fundamentals, with practical understanding of power and interfaces. • Hands-on use of oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and rework tools. • You can write embedded code or test scripts to support board bring-up. • Proficiency in Altium Designer. • You communicate tradeoffs, seek design review, and learn unfamiliar systems quickly. What gets you here faster • Substantial projects that include your own design, bring-up, and testing. • Industrial, robotics, or embedded hardware experience, including SoC or FPGA designs. • Exposure to manufacturing, test fixtures, or EMC/ESD debugging. Compensation The base pay range for this role is $130,000 – $165,000 per year. How we work We’re a small team with ambitious goals and a lot to build. We work together in Gardena, move quickly, and take ownership of what we ship. Some days run into the evening as we work through hard problems and get improvements into customers’ hands. We’re looking for people who enjoy that pace and help each other deliver. We use AI tools throughout engineering to accelerate research, implementation, testing, and documentation. We check the results and remain accountable for what ships. What you get • Real ownership. Meaningful equity alongside your base salary. You’ll help build the company and share in the value we create. • Health, fully covered. 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision. • Time to recharge. Unlimited paid time off. • Fuel for builders. Catered lunch and dinner, plus stocked snacks and drinks throughout the day. Interview process • Recruiter conversation • Technical discussion • Onsite with the team These roles require U.S. work authorization without current or future employer sponsorship. For interview accommodations, contact [email protected]. If your experience fits the core work but not every preferred qualification, apply. Neuron Industries is an equal opportunity employer.
